One of the best gifts I have ever received has to be the gift of community.

There truly is power in numbers.

My family and I recently had to unite a few weeks ago to assist my mother with her healing through surgery and it has not been easy.

Tempers have brewed.

Tears have flowed.

Doors have slammed.

Voices have been raised.

As well as genuine smiles and laughter.

Delicious food.

Better rest and sleep.

A healthy level of support.

and a heart filled with gratitude.

It only takes a few things to break a man down

and the power of community can bring him back on his feet
