If I could choose to be anything in the world, I would choose to be loved
If you have known love, you will understand
Do you know what love is? I will tell you
Love is beautiful
Love is so beautiful
And it’s so much more than kissing and smooching
It’s so much more than the passions of the flesh on a drunken night while ovulating
It’s so much more than joining bodies
It’s so much more than sex
Love is nothing compared, as rare as a diamond
Love is pure and patient and kind
Love is them and you and God in between, holding it all together
Just the sheer vulnerability in opening up and sharing emotions and communicating
and trusting the person, and opening up your heart to the idea of them in your life, the idea of them actually seeing you as someone special, something special, that is so beautiful
That is so precious
Love is peace
Who wouldn’t do anything to exchange random meaningless stuff for an ounce of love?
As ethereal as it is divine, void of superficiality
Love sees you
Love hears you
Love knows you
Love understands you
Love waits for you
Love stays with you
Love shows you with their actions
Love doesn’t give up on you
Love persists
Love is unconditional
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love is joyful
Love separates the good from the bad
Love separates the joy from the sadness
Love fills you with hope
Love makes you giddy with excitement
Love makes you serious about your life and their life
And who wouldn’t want that?
Who wouldn’t want to be loved?
Who wouldn’t want to be cared for and nurtured?
Who wouldn’t want to be hugged and kissed and catered to?
Who wouldn’t want their other half?
Their soulmate
The Eve to their Adam, or Adam to their Eve
Who wouldn’t want an Eden-on-earth experience?
God did a thing when he created love
Oh wait, God didn’t just create love, God is love.
If I could choose to be anything in the world, I would choose to be loved
If you have known love, you will understand.
